KickStart is a non-profit social enterprise that develops and promotes irrigation pumps that unlock business opportunities for entrepreneurial smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. These MoneyMaker irrigation pumps enable farmers to grow and sell multiple harvests of high-value crops each year, even in the dry, hungry season, transforming their farms into profitable businesses and building their resistance to climate change. KickStart operates in 16 countries in Africa and has helped over 1 million people break the cycle of poverty, start 240,000 profitable farming businesses, and generate $200 million new farm profits and wages annually.
