ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute is an autonomous research organisation in Singapore established by an Act of Parliament in 1968. It studies political, security, economic, social and cultural developments in Southeast Asia and the region’s wider strategic environment. The Institute conducts research programmes, convenes conferences and seminars, publishes books, journals and policy analysis, and maintains research resources supporting scholarship and public understanding of Southeast Asia.
