The High Conservation Value Resource Network (HCVRN) is a member-based organization that supports the consistent implementation of the high conservation value approach, which helps identify, manage and monitor significant biological, ecological, social or cultural values in production landscapes. The HCV approach is one of the main requirements of major voluntary sustainability standards schemes, such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), and procurement and investment policies. The HCVRN also provides guidance documents, tools and templates to improve HCV assessments, and licenses lead HCV assessors and monitors the quality of their work over time.
