Fundación Escuela Nueva Volvamos a la Gente

Fundación Escuela Nueva (FEN) is a Colombian NGO founded in 1987. FEN’s mission is to improve the lives of children and their families through the Escuela Nueva (EN) model, which empowers and enables them as individuals. EN was first designed in Colombia in the late 1970s to provide complete primary basic education rural schools and improve their quality and effectiveness FEN has pioneered the innovation and adaptation of EN to new contexts and populations, such as Escuela Activa Urbana for urban populations and the Escuela Nueva Learning Circles for out of school children in emergency situations.
