Eicher Group began business operations nearly 40 years ago with the roll out of India's first tractor. Its main business is now the development, manufacture and marketing of commercial vehicles and passenger buses. It has a strong components business and an engineering services business that caters to the automotive and light engineering sector, with its main market in the US. It is also the owner of Royal Enfield, the oldest existing motorcycle company in the world.
