Shifting geopolitical sands: competition, cooperation or conflict?
The COVID-19 crisis struck an unsettled world in which competitive instincts were overtaking cooperative mindsets. As the crisis risks accelerating this trend, the Global Future Council on Geopolitics will identify practical mechanisms for strengthening global collaboration. The council will explore evolving global power dynamics and identify where shared economic, security and technological interests offer opportunities for collaboration. In this way, the council will offer intellectual support to the Forum’s work on the Great Reset initiative, particularly the pillar devoted to promoting global cooperation and revitalizing the multilateral system.
