Vanshica is with the United Nations in India. Her mandate is to work with the leadership and the secretariat in day-to-day tasks, specific policy matters, crisis management and overall inter agency process and project organization, coordination and monitoring. Her particular policy interest areas include urbanization, skill development and cultural heritage.
Vanshica holds a Master's degree in Global and Imperial History, with distinction, from the University of Oxford on full scholarship. Prior to which she attained her Bachelor's in History Honours from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. As a historian, she has explored the field of global history, transoceanic and transcontinental convergences and divergences between polities, economies, societies & cultures of South & East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Australasia, and the Americas. Her area of specialization lies at the intersection of history, technology and society.
As a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, she has held several leadership positions such as being elected as Curator of the New Delhi Hub and being chosen to be on the Covid Action Steering Committee currently. Vanshica has been selected to attend several Forum congregations including Summer Davos or the Annual Meeting of New Champions. She has represented India at various other international forums including the G8 & G20 Youth Summit and is a member of several bilateral youth exchanges. She writes for various platforms including being a contributor at the World Economic Forum Agenda Blog.
