Reem serves as a Policy Advisor for Energy and Environment at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Energy and Climate Attaché to the British Consulate General in San Francisco. In this capacity, she manages HMG's energy and environmental diplomacy across the Western U.S., focusing on state and federal policies, cutting-edge technologies, and market forces shaping innovation, regulation, trade, and investment.

Prior to that, she was part of the UK Department for International Trade based in San Francisco, where she was tasked with cultivating US-UK trade and investment activities between major technology corporations. Previously, she served as an energy specialist at the World Bank, managing a $150+ MM portfolio and liaising between ministers, senior officials, C-suite executives, and the Bank. In addition to her expertise in policy and government affairs, Reem has private sector experience working as an investment and strategy consultant for Fortune 500 companies. For Orascom Development Holdings (SWX: ODHN), she spearheaded their FEC project to create Egypt's first carbon-neutral city, and for Jaguar Land Rover (Tata Motors LTD), Reem launched a key market research initiative, which provided an in-depth social, political, and economic analysis of growth opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Reem holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford. She has been involved in the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper and has served as a judge at UC Berkeley's Big Ideas Competition since 2013.
